Plantar fasciitis
Why does my heel hurt in the morning?
G3 Chiro in Newport Beach treats plantar fasciitis, the heel and arch pain that is usually sharpest on your first steps in the morning. Dr. Jaron Hua assesses the foot alongside the ankle, calf, hip and the way you actually walk and run, since the tissue under the foot is often the place that gives out rather than the place at fault.

Does this sound like you?
- Sharp heel pain on the first steps out of bed
- It eases as you move, then returns after sitting
- Worse after a long run, a long day standing, or new shoes
- Rolling it on a ball helps briefly and changes nothing
Why it keeps coming back
Most plantar fasciitis treatment stops at the site: the heel that hurts. Ice, stretch the arch, rest, maybe a night splint or a cortisone shot. That often quiets it for a few weeks, and then it returns the moment you are back on your feet, because the source is what is loading that tissue past what it can handle. How your foot bears weight, how your ankle, calf and hip move, and whether the fascia around all of it can glide the way it should. Treat only the site and you are managing a symptom.
How Dr. Jaron looks at it
Four things in one plan. The fascia, joints, muscle and nerve of the whole lower leg, because the fascia under the foot runs up into the calf. How you distribute weight, since that determines how much stress lands on the plantar fascia in the first place. Progressive training, because hands-on work creates the opening and loading is what makes it hold. And the practical things: footwear, activity load, and what your foot has been compensating for, sometimes for years.
What to expect
An assessment of the whole chain, hands-on treatment, and a loading plan built for how you actually move.
