Why does my back hurt after a round of golf?
G3 Chiro in Newport Beach helps golfers whose back, hip or shoulder pain shows up on the course or the morning after. Dr. Jaron Hua holds TPI Medical certification from the Titleist Performance Institute, which trains providers to connect a golfer's physical limitations with the faults in their swing. Sessions run 45 to 90 minutes, long enough to assess how you move, treat what the assessment finds, and give you exercises that carry onto the course.

Does this sound like you?
- Stiff or sore in the low back after a round, or the next morning
- A shoulder or hip that tightens up the more you play
- You have been told to fix your swing, and your body will not let you
- You would rather keep playing than rest it and hope
Shoulder and back pain, golf
I have been suffering from shoulder and back pain for over a year. Especially after I play golf, everything is stiff. After his first treatment, I feel great.

Why it keeps coming back
A golf swing asks your hips, mid back and shoulders to rotate a long way at speed. When one of those areas cannot move the way it should, the load goes somewhere else, and very often that is the low back. Stretching the sore spot does little when the restriction lives somewhere else.
How Dr. Jaron looks at it
The TPI approach starts from one idea: many swing faults come from what the body can and cannot do. Dr. Jaron assesses how your hips, spine and shoulders rotate and hold steady, then combines hands-on treatment with specific exercise to address what the assessment finds.
What to expect
An assessment of how you move, hands-on treatment, and exercises chosen for your body and your game. This is not swing coaching. If your swing needs work, you leave knowing which physical limits are getting in its way.

You do not need a low handicap for this to matter.
Most golfers who come in simply want to keep playing without paying for it the next day. Book the first appointment, or ask for a free phone call first to work out whether G3 Chiro is the right fit.
